At Andrew Goldenberg, DDS, we can help restore your perfect smile with custom dentures and partials. As a part of our in-depth design process, we only use the most durable and natural looking materials.
Missing teeth can make the chewing process painful and affects the clarity and quality of your speech. Once you have your custom-fitted dentures or partials, you will leave our office with a renewed feeling of self confidence and complete oral comfort.
The great thing about dentures and partials is that they are more affordable than implants. They can also be removed from your mouth which makes cleaning much easier.
What are Dentures?
Full dentures replace a complete set of upper and lower teeth. A partial denture replaces various teeth throughout the mouth. Full and partial dentures are made to resemble your natural teeth. It should not be noticeable that you are wearing dentures. They should merely be an extension to your natural smile.
All of our patients are unique that is why we provide personalized services that meet the comfort and needs of our patients. It is our goal to create dentures that look natural and help patients look and feel great.
Types of Dentures
Full Dentures – These are given to patients when all of their natural teeth have been removed. Full dentures are custom made to resemble a patient’s natural teeth. They are positioned to fit in a patient’s mouth after the gum tissue has healed. It can take a few months for the gums to properly heal after extraction. Adjustments may be required during the first couple of months to create proper positioning with the gums and mouth.
Partial Dentures – This is a removable piece used when a patient still has one or more natural teeth in their upper or lower jaw. A partial is a tooth replacement attached to gum-colored plastic and a metal frame. It is connected to your natural teeth, which securely holds the partial in place. A partial fills the space created by missing teeth. It also creates a support for remaining teeth to prevent shifting. Partial dentures are considered a removable alternative to bridges.
Are Dentures/Partials Right for Me?
Everyone is unique. What is right for one person, may not be right for another. Dentures and partials aren’t for everyone. Dentures and partials are extremely durable but are also known to break. If your dentures happen to break, please schedule an appointment as soon as possible. Broken or damaged dentures/partials can cause irritation to the gums and mouth if they do not fit properly.
